The welded-through ball valve consists of a housing 1 and side pipes 2, tightened with studs 13. When tightening the flanges of the nozzles 2 all the way into the housing, the sealing rings 5 compress the floating plug 3, and the rings 7 seal the connection of the housing and the nozzles. The counter-flying spindle 4 is sealed with rings 8 and 11. The crane is switched by turning the handle 12 by 90′. Remote-controlled cranes are manufactured with pneumatic and electric drives. The pipeline configuration is determined at the stage of project creation. And the ball welded valve is an important element of this design. It is much easier to cut off an outdated locking device and mount a new one than to dismantle the entire system (especially on an industrial-sized highway).
If you choose a threaded connection, over time it may decrease in size relative to the norm due to corrosion processes. A small amount of sealant can fix the situation. However, it will not last long. You can get rid of this problem by installing a welded ball valve. It is guaranteed to work for the required period until the next replacement.
There is no difference between welded products and other types of locking mechanisms according to their operation scheme. The difference is in the configuration of the housing: the absence of fasteners and threads. The product for welding has slightly increased dimensions and retains the operability of the entire unit. Due to its design, it is protected from failure during installation. The fittings are selected according to the diameter of the pipe passage. If it is thin-walled, in this case the ball valve may be slightly larger. In production conditions, its installation takes place using a coupling.
