Check pipeline valve (DN15-150, PN1.6-4.0 MPa)

The check ball valve consists of the body (1) and two caps (2) bolted together by stud bolts (8) and sealed with joint gaskets (9). When supplying the working medium into the valve (4) the latter is moving within the stop (3) hole compressing the spring (5) and providing the admission of the medium. When cutting off the medium the valve closes under the action of the spring. To provide the leak-proofness of closed valve the latter is sealed with the valve seal (6). To provide valve capacity for work in corrosive media the seat, the spring and the stem are made of corrosion-resistant steel. The working medium can be admitted to the cap according to the pointer on the valve body. Joint to pipeline is welded.

Check pipeline valves belong to the class of special pipeline fittings installed to prevent a change in the direction of movement of the working medium. They block the return flow of liquid, protecting the equipment from water shocks. Prevent leaks from tanks when the supply pipe is depressurized. At the same time, the work takes place in automatic mode without the use of third-party drives and control systems.

General description

The check pipe valve is made of stainless or carbon steel and is assembled from the following structural elements:

• cylindrical housing;
• two welded pipes, tightened with studs;
• locking element on the spring;
• sealing ring.

The direction of movement of the medium is indicated by an arrow applied to the surface of the housing.

The diameters of the conditional passage are from 15 to 150 mm. The working pressure is 16, 25 and 40 kg/cm2. Operating temperature from -60°C to +160°C.

In accordance with the technical specification of the customer, the connection to the pipe or equipment can be not only welded, but also flanged.

Application environment

This type of shut-off and control valves are installed:

• in the schemes of strapping pumps when they are connected in parallel;
• on feeding and filling as automatic feeding devices;
• on pipelines transporting cold and hot process solutions;
• on the inlet lines of liquid storage tanks;
• in fire extinguishing systems and water supply from tanks.

It should be borne in mind that such devices have increased hydraulic resistance. Therefore, each installation must be technically justified.
