A shortened ball valve consists of a housing 1 and a fitting 2 screwed into it. Fluoroplastic seats 3 are installed in the housing and the fitting, sealing the plug 4. The connection of the housing and the fitting is sealed with a ring 14. The spindle 5 is used to turn the plug, with protection against pulling out. The spindle assembly is sealed with a viton ring 13, a package of fluoroplastic rings 7 with a steel sleeve 9. The package is tightened by a nut 11, under which disc springs are installed 9. The crane is switched by turning the handle 15 by 90 °.The rotation limiter is a screw 16 wrapped in the flange of the housing. It is possible to install the drive, for which grooves are made in the flange according to ISO 5211. Metric thread is provided in the flanges of the crane, so the crane is attached to the pipeline using bolts or studs with nuts. The spatial position of the crane on the pipeline is arbitrary.

The shortened flanged ball valve is a compact and reliable pipe fittings that are used as shut-off devices. It is used on technological lines of chemical, oil refining, pulp and industrial enterprises. Allows transportation of liquid and gaseous media, including chemically aggressive ones. The reduced installation dimensions allow installation in conditions of cramped space and reduce the metal consumption of products.
The shortened ball valve is assembled on the basis of a 12X18N9TL stainless steel housing and a flange fitting screwed into it. A rotating overlapping ball is installed inside the structure, the tightness of which is ensured by the presence of fluoroplastic saddles. The plug is rotated by a handle through a steel spindle, the stuffing box of which is a set of fluoroplastic rings.
The design of the housing provides for the presence of special slots for the possible installation of an electromechanical or pneumatic drive. Metric thread is cut in the holes of the flanges, which allows you to abandon the nuts when connecting to the pipeline.
